Driven pile is one of the popular and oldest method where the piling is done by dropping the hammer which drives the casing pipe resting on a MS pile shoe up to the termination level. In this method piling can be done for a diameter ranging from 300mm to 600mm only. Once the pile is driven up to termination level, reinforcements is lowered and the casing pipe is filled with the concrete. Now the concrete is compacted by dropping of the hammer and simultaneously casing pipe is lifted fully. Care to be taken that the concrete is filled up to the required level. Here there are two types methods.
- Cast-in situ pile
- Pre- cast pile
